Cold. How do you shorten the healing period for colds?

Posted in

There is no cure for the common cold , but the symptoms of the common cold can be alleviated. There are many practical tips that can help you in relieving cold symptoms, some of which are presented below.

A first recommended remedy is Astragalus (Astragalus mebranaceus) .

Astragalus is an Asian plant, the root of which is currently considered to be one of the best known immune stimulants.

It is an excellent herb for shortening the healing period and for alleviating the symptoms, but also for removing the complications or sequelae of the flu.

Unlike other remedies, astragalus can be administered in any phase of the flu, being effective even for eliminating its bacterial complications (pneumonia, bronchitis, sinusitis, etc.).

It should also be known that this plant is also recommended for healthy people to prevent flu.

What do specialists recommend when we face a cold?

  • olive leaf extract – quickly and powerfully activates the body’s defense system
  • natural aspirins for fever and pain control. There are two species that deserve this title: willow (Salix sp.), whose bark contains substances similar to aspirin, and Devil’s Claw, which contains anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving active principles.
  • tea sweetened with honey, for its soothing and antiseptic effects
  • volatile oils, for their very strong antiviral and antibacterial effects. In the case of colds , inhalation with volatile oils is especially recommended. Peppermint oil, tea tree oil, Siberian pine oil and thyme oil have proven effective. With these you can make inhalations whenever necessary.
